THE ATTICS

When rock music was declared dead, thousands of guitars, basses, and drum sets sat in department store windows. To clear the inventory, prices were dropped nearly to nothing. That's where the Attics' story begins. Four boys with no musical ability and a combined $35 dollars. Three months of rehearsing yielded unenthusiastic reactions from friends and neighbors. It was when they met a music student at Indiana University that was able to explain a few things about music and lend them a touch of credibility that things took off for this Bloomington, Indiana garage band. The Attics are inspired by The McCoys, Shadows of Night, and ? and The Mysterians.
